Vacancy for a postdoc researcher at Wageningen University (FORMIT Project)

As part of an EU funded project on “FORest management strategies to enhance the MITigation potential of European forests” (FORMIT), which is coordinated by Wageningen University, the Forest Ecology and Forest Management group of Wageningen University has a vacancy for a postdoc researcher with a dual task: contribution to the work packages and to coordination and management of the EU-FORMIT project. 

The FORMIT project is funded under the KBBE programme of the EU, and consists of a consortium of 12 European research groups to assess forest management strategies for CO2 mitigation, while maintaining other forest functions.

We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious forest researcher, with a PhD degree in forestry or forest production ecology or a related field, and experience in project management and research coordination.

The position is open for a period of 24 months, with a possible extension for another 18 months.
